Recycling gloves and other PPE workwear provides significant financial benefits when compared with constantly introducing new stock. A saving of 70% on your overall spend is an achievable outcome. There are a number of factors that affect the overall saving.

Glove selection

When selecting the correct glove for a given application, with practicality and safety covered, a new financially focused performance factor will be it’s ‘re-usability’ factor.
In specific conditions gloves can be washed a large amount of times without compromise. Whilst probably more expensive initially, when including the ‘re-usability’ factor, the glove will prove to be extremely cost effective over its life span.

Glove cleaning, what does it cost?

The following examples are taken from actual customer batches.
To see all data in the tables switch to a desktop.

Data:
Glove: used by the customer.
PA:  the physical total amount received and weighed.
TNR: the total number passed for re-use.
TND: the total number rejected for re-use.
New: new glove replacement cost.
CPP: total cost per pair to process, Transportation, HTI* is not included in calculation.
Saving  PP: Net savings made per pair.
No. Washes: allowing for normal use, the number of times the customers expect to use the gloves.
Savings: the savings made based on the TNR batch quantity.

*HTI value is not included in the total cost calculation because HTI is a replacement for the current disposal cost, and is usually the less expensive, more environmental option.
